Teens and Children
It is with great regret that the Associazione Culturale Dello Scompiglio, together with its trusted collaborators, announces that once again there will be no summer camp for this year.
At this time, in which all activities are regulated by very strict rules, it is not possible to implement the pedagogical principals that are the basis of the camp and have made it known and appreciated over the last years. It has therefore been decided to suspend this activity, in the hope that in the coming years, it will be possible to fully resume it.
On the other hand, it is clear that the health emergency has limited the play and recreation opportunities for children and teenagers, affecting their well-being.
The Association is therefore working on a plan for a programme aimed at young children and their families, with outdoor events, including creative and nature workshops, themed walks and theatrical shows. An opportunity for children to reclaim the right socialise and play outside the domestic sphere, and for everyone to rediscover the nature of the estate, where majestic trees, nymphaea, and wooded areas alternate with vineyards and agricultural areas.
The programme - created in collaboration with the Oasi Lipu di Massaciuccoli – will take place over two weekends in June and September.
The first events are scheduled for Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 June, with the children’s theatre show Il principe ranocchio (The Frog Prince), by the Roman company ARPA and a promenade performance in nature, Il racconto degli alberi (The Tale of the Trees), conceived and directed by Marta Mingucci (Natura-Teatro).
In addition there will be nature workshops; Un albero per amico (A Tree for a Friend), curated by Marcello Labate, Hand Lab | La mangiatoia (Hand Lab | The Feeding Trough, curated by Open Farm, a workshop inspired by the book by Bruno Munari Disegnare un albero (Drawing a Tree), curated by Marta Mingucci, and finally Parole nel bosco (Words in the Woods), a poetic writing workshop curated by Lia Gallo, all aimed at both children and adults.
The programme continues on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September, with four children’s theatre events: La Gallinella Rossa (The Little Red Hen) by Compagnia Tanti Cosi Progetti, the promenade show in nature Il racconto degli alberi (The Tale of the Trees), conceived and directed by Marta Mingucci (Natura-Teatro), Fagioli (Beans) by I Teatri Soffiati & Finisterrae Teatri, the narrative theatre show La vita lì dentro. Storie di semi (The Life Inside. Stories of Seeds), curated by Marta Mingucci. There will also be an entomology workshop and a guided walk of the outdoor spaces of the estate, in which culture and nature interweave.
All the events are designed for a limited number of participants, in accordance with the latest provisions in terms of safety and social distancing. Reservations are required and you must bring mask. Some activities include uphill paths. Sports shoes are necessary.
