Tenuta Dello Scompiglio at Food & Wine in Progress 2019
The Tenuta Dello Scompiglio in Vorno (Capannori, Lucca) will participate in Food & Wine in Progress 2019 – The Excellence of Tuscany, the largest exhibition of food and wine from the best Tuscan producers, organised by the Italian Sommelier Association of Tuscany (AIS) and the Regional Chefs Union of Tuscany
We present for tasting the Dello Scompiglio Tuscan IGT organic reds, produced on the estate in accordance with the standards of natural vinification and with complete respect for the environment and the terroir, with oenologist Claudio Gori:
Lavandaia, Madre 2016, En-Primeur wine, has notes of fresh ripe fruits typical of the native vines of the estate; Lavandaia, Pura and Lavandaia, Alta 2015, obtained from the vinification of the Syrah grape alone but from different vineyards, showcasing a grape variety from ancient, yet forgotten history; Lavandaia, Bassa 2015, is a masterful and refined blend, made from the same vines as the Vigna Madre, this time planted in different soils; Lavandaia, Nuova 2018, from purely Sangiovese grape, harvested by hand, and delivers the special mineral note of the Dello Scompiglio soils.
