Two somewhat contradictory realities coexist within the Tenuta.
One is the centuries-old architecturally and artistically designed park with fountains, nymphaea and a large variety of trees of majestic proportions. Through diversification, many rare animals inhabit the area. The other is a forest invaded by pines that have rendered it almost impossible for the growth of other varieties.
Olive Groves and Olive Oil
Since beginning the restoration of the agricultural and park areas, several olive groves have been re-discovered within the Tenuta. Extra virgin olive oil was once one of the main products cultivated at the Tenuta and it is estimated that in the past there were 7000 olive trees in production.
Landscape exemplifies a perceptible synthesis of human activity within a natural context and its place within a cultural environment; the formal appearance of the environment; the land as viewed by society, whose character derives from the effects of natural or human factors and from their infinite interactions.
