Three years ago, on Lampedusa, a fisherman told me,
«Do you know which fish has come back? Sea bass.»
Then he lit up a cigarette, smoked the whole thing
in silence and concluded, «And do you know why the sea bass have come back to the sea? Do you know what they feed on? There you go!»
He threw down the cigarette and left.
There was nothing, really, to add.
